I appreciate the idea of providing a space for individuals to interact with cats before adoption. However, I want to share my experience to help improve communication for future adopters. After learning about Pretty Paw Lounge, I was eager to adopt and found a cat I wanted. Although her application was still online, I was informed by phone that she had already been adopted and that the website was being updated, which I understood. I continued meeting other cats and was told that my application was on file, so I only needed to indicate my choice. I selected another cat who had recently been returned and confirmed there were no current applications for her. On June 16, 2026, I paid a deposit and demonstrated my commitment by preparing my home and scheduling a vet appointment. I also provided information about my background and living situation; I am a U.S veteran who works in management and simply was looking for companionship. However, on June 27, 2026, I was notified that the cat had been adopted by another family due to confusion about prior applications. I was not informed of any competing applications when I inquired, which made the process feel unclear and inconsistent. I was

We had a wonderful and peaceful afternoon with a few breeds of cats, all of whom were rescued and acclimating to a new and friendly environment. The calicos were very playful and each cat had its own personality. The owner, Rachel, was attentive and kind. It was my first time at a cat Cafe which was greatly enjoyable.

What a wonderful non-profit providing such an important service to our community. I believe it might have been the owner/manager who checked us in, explained how things worked and directed us to the kitty lounge. She was happy to answer all our questions and it is obvious she loves what she does. My friend fell in love with one of the kitties available for adoption and has an application pending. We are hopeful to get a yes for adoption in a few days. What a great way to start a beautiful late winter Sunday.

I adore this place!! We visited for the first time today and loved it. The staff are so friendly, welcoming, and funny too! You can tell how much they love what they do and you can tell how loved these cats are. The kitties themselves were so sweet and adorable, I loved spending them with them! It is so exciting to see so many of them in the process of being adopted, I can’t wait to do the same. Plus, the bakery items are so yummy! ☺️

Good experience at the cafe! However… Our experience with The Pretty Paw Lounge was extremely disappointing when it comes to fostering cats. The owner, Rachel, was very unprofessional from the start. She failed to fully explain the important conditions and responsibilities involved with the cat we were fostering “Too Busy That Day”… Which caused unnecessary confusion and stress to us and the cat. On top of that, communication was terrible — when we had urgent questions about the fostered cat’s health and care. When we did manage to reach her, her attitude was dismissive and rude, especially when we reached out outside of office hours and need urgent advice for the cat (because the cat was puking and have various stomach issues). For an organization that’s supposed to care about animals and their well-being, this kind of unprofessional and unhelpful behavior is unacceptable. Would not recommend fostering through them.
